Writer, reader, mom and Norwegian California dweller. Always running. Loves doughnuts.

About the name:

The name "Borealis" means northern and is a word that fits with the names of my two daughters, Linnea and Aurora. Linnea Borealis is a type of small flower growing in Northern Scandinavia, clinging onto inhospitable rocks. The Aurora Borealis is of course the Northern Lights which lights up the sky in the Northern Hemisphere.

As a child, I cataloged our entire book collection, writing short synopsis and topics on cards. Despite the fact that the card index never caught on in my family, I have since learned to combine my excitement for language, writing, and finding patterns with my need to be creative and bringing ideas to life.
